Assalamualaikum and good day peeps!
So today, I'll be reviewing about my hiking experience at Borga Hill, Semenyih, Selangor, Malaysia. I choose Broga Hill as my next travel destination because it had been recommended by tons, like it is a 'must place' to go for hikers. Oh well, I'm up for the challenge! Plus, I need to test my fitness somehow.
A bit brief of Broga Hill;
1. It is 400 meters up
2. Also known as 'Bukit Lalang'
3. It got 3 peaks
4. From the summit, a proper jungle trail leads through primary rainforest to Gunung Tok Wan (675 meters)
Preparation:
Hmm, nothing much I prepared for the hike, except for my Canon camera kits, Kembara Adventure Meal Packs, mineral waters and some sweets.
** You peeps might need to prepare for some cash to pay for the entrance fees. RM1/pax if I'm not mistaken.
The Hike:
We arrived at Broga Hill quite early around 5.30 AM because we aim to capture sunrise shoots. With a bit of stretching, we started the hike. My buddy and I arrived at the first peak around an hour after ( well, that because of my unfit body, if not, he might reached there earlier, LOL ).
To be honest, I underestimated the hike ( I know, I shouldn't do that ). I thought it was easy as my friends told me. It's either my unfit body or the track was challenging itself, but I had a tough time hiking up there. Plus, the track seems to have a major corrosion. Many loops and holes were seen during the hike. I don't know how I survived there.
** I have to give warn you peeps; it is quite dangerous for kids. So be careful in any ways.
Arrived at the first peak, we took a break and do our Subuh Prayers. It was a nice experience indeed having the chance to pray at the hilltop with a soothing breeze and view.
Then, we continued our hike to the second hill and selected a spot to settle down for breakfast, while capturing some sunrise shoots. We took on such a strategic place since there was less disturbance for shoots. Here are some shoots;
We spent like an hour there before continuing our hike to the third peak of Broga Hill. To be described, the third peak is narrower, thus, the space is very limited. It was hard to do some shoots and to sit for some gazing. Even so, I managed to capture some awesome shoots there !
After enjoyed our time there, we head down. Obviously, the journey down the hill was far more easier than climbing up. On the way down, we noticed that we managed to avoid the crowd that seems to just arrived at the hill ( around 10 AM if I'm not mistaken ). Reaching the base, we grab some coconut drinks and had some snacks before heading home
To conclude, if you want to try hike up Broga Hill, make sure;
1. Your energy food supplies is enough
2. Avoid weekend. If you can't, then make sure you came there early than anyone else.
3. Always bring a friend that familiar to the track
4. Prepare for the weather
